Student Handbook

Every student is provided with a Dysart Parent and Student Handbook at the beginning of the year. But we know that life happens and things get misplaced. This link will take you directly to the online versions of the handbook.  The handbook establishes the responsibilities of all students:

  • Attend school to receive an education.
  • Be on time for all classes.
  • Come to class with necessary materials.
  • Complete all in-class and homework assignments and meet all deadlines.
  • Obey school rules and school personnel.
  • Cooperate with school staff.
  • Respect the person and property of others.
  • Respect public property.
  • See that school correspondence to parents reaches home

The Student and Parent Handbook – developed in partnership with school administrators, teachers and parents – is distributed to each student. Parents and students are required sign and return the included verification form within 10 days of receipt.

Dress Code Information

Dysart Unified School District believes that there is a connection between Student Dress and Academic Success.  As such, any attire that detracts from the learning environment is not acceptable. Students should dress in a manner that takes into consideration the educational environment, safety, health and welfare of self and others.  The following guidelines are not intended to be entirely inclusive of all dress code situations.  Therefore, school administrators will be allowed the final decision when applying the guidelines to student appearance standards.

Use this link for an overview of the code and a video.

Strategic Plan

The Dysart Unified School District Governing Board has recently approved the revision of the Dysart Strategic Plan for the 2011 through 2014 school years. The plan sets forth the road map of excellence that the district will use to inform and define all programs and decisions, resulting in students exceeding standards and being future ready. The ongoing strategic plan contains five focus areas.

*We have chosen two goals to focus on. Once you open the Strategic Plan, see page 3, Goal A3 and A6.

Goal A: All Dysart students will graduate ready for college, career, and life in a globally competitive economy by mastering New Century Learner Skills.

Objective 2: Implement New Century Learner Skills as part of the approved curriculum.

Objective 6: Design and implement a college and career planning process that enables students to develop needed skills to transition to post secondary pathways.
